Thanks so much for helping us again. We didn't think we'd need 2 cars in the space of a few months but we did! Firstly we bought a fiesta for our son ...he needed a cheap reliable 'first' car as moving away from home. It was good to be able to put our trust in you to find one for him. Then secondly, when our car broke down 250 miles from home we rang you and you found us a C Max. You have definitely been a godsend to us this year. We bought 2 cars and it didn't break the bank! We're thrilled with the C-Max ...it's like new even though it's a 56 plate! We're almost glad our Zafira gave up and we had to get a new one. Thanks so much for all your help :-)

Wow. Where to begin. We met Rob a few weeks ago when we were in a bind as our beloved little mk1 Focus failed it’s MOT. Rust was the culprit for the demise of an otherwise fairly solid and well engineered machine. We’ve replaced many a car over the past couple of years alone due to budget constraints, and in this instance, needed something just to tide us over until we could afford something better. As nice an example of the original Focus Rob sold us is, I’m happy to say that “upgrade day” has finally arrived and we’ve had the privilege to do business with Rob again, this time on our ideal family car. Even at the lower original price point for the mk1 Focus, Rob went out of his way to make us feel such confidence in the car and in him as a tradesman, he even picked us up (myself, the misses, and our two kids being local to his garage), and brought us back to the garage so we could view and ultimately buy the car. That experience was but a glimpse of the level of service, attention to detail, and determination to present the best possible examples of quality cars to all his customers Rob shows. I used to be a mechanic, so when it comes to buying used cars I am a typical dealer’s worst nightmare. Rob quickly showed himself to be anything but a typical dealer. I’m sure I must have done his head in at some point or another, but he never once showed it or made us feel pressured into anything. He is a family man with ethics seemingly etched in stone and a level of honesty and transparency you would be hard pressed to find in anyone, let alone in the car business!! We were trying to find the most amount of car, in the best possible condition, for the amount we had to spend, so, after going to Rob first, we went searching elsewhere. Not because of anything Rob did, but because we just wanted to be absolutely certain we were getting into the right car for us. We are tired of having to replace the car every year or two, so this was critical that we got this decision right. Rob had the patience of a saint, answered all of our questions, fixed what needed fixing with the car, even looked at other cars for us and gave honest advice about competitor’s offerings. I’d never seen such a thing or met such a stand up guy in the car business in all my life. In the end, after seeing and scrutinizing countless other cars, we decided the only place we could confidently buy from was HL Automotive, where Rob truly did deliver on everything we were looking for. It looked a little scruffy when we first saw it (it was sat outside for a bit), but he helped us to see its potential and wow - after working his magic the car is absolutely stunning. Rob, thank you mate. You’ve made us feel that our money got us not only the best car, but the best service. We absolutely love our Mk2 Focus, and will most certainly be back to do business again in future. Your other reviewers are spot on - other dealers could learn a thing or two from you!!

Couldn't recommend HL automotive enough absolutely amazing service. Rob went above and beyond to make buying my first car a pleasant and easy experience. Since finding an advert for my car on Autotrader I messaged the garage and received information straight away. I was able to test drive on my first visit and my parents test drove the car too. He then helped me sort out my personalised plates and my tax and registration. He also updated me in the week I was waiting to pick up my car with information as to how he could help me with the process. When I picked up my car I was so surprised there was a lovely box of chocolates on the passenger seat and my new plates where put on for me. This rare personal service is so scarce now I'm incredibly happy I came across this business before looking elsewhere. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend for anyone and especially first time car owners.

I had seen an advert on Autotrader. I was looking at a gorgeous silver car, but when I got there we fell in love with a beautiful black Ford Titanium, it was responsibly priced and Rob was amazing with us. He let me take it on a test drive and that was it I was having this car. I’ve had it for a couple of days now and I can’t fault this car it’s awesome!! If anyone wants a Ford here is the best place to buy your car! I have purchased many cars in my time and dealt with main dealers and smaller companies. From the start Rob was professional and courteous allowing as much time as we needed to decide on our purchase. I was impressed with the condition of the car and its history, many times in the past i have been to look at a vehicle that has been nothing like the description! I took the car on a test drive and everything was explained in detail. I purchased the car and can honestly say from start to finish the experience has been one of outstanding customer service with customer satisfaction being a key part of Robs business ethics. Many dealers should take example and perhaps shed some of the bad reputation they appear to have! I ended up selling my car back to Rob a week or so ago after many miles of trouble free motoring for a fair price. I was told if he got any more than expected for the car he would wire us the surplus. To my surprise Rob wired us £200.00 this morning, how many dealers would do that?
